About Our Church

Trinity Lutheran Church was founded by German immigrants in 1853.  The congregation has grown from sixteen members at its founding to over sixteen hundred today.  Numerous daughter congregations around the city of Sheboygan were begun by members of Trinity, including Bethlehem, Immanuel, and St. Paul.  Trinity Lutheran Church and School have been in continuous existence for over 155 years.

What We Believe

With the universal Christian Church, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is a member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LC-MS).  The congregations of the LC-MS are "confessional."  They hold to the Lutheran Confessions as the correct interpretation and presentation of Biblical doctrine.
