Karen graduated from Concordia University, River Forest with her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 1975. She has taught 3rd grade at Trinity for 15 years.  This year she will be her second year teaching 4th grade.  She previously served as librarian at Bethany Lutheran School in Naperville, IL where she also taught seventh grade math. She and Ken, her husband, have four children - Joel, Jamie, Joshua, and Kirsten. She has been certified to teach in Illinois and presently has her State of Wisconsin Teaching License. She currently coordinates the Accelerated Reader Program and the Book Fair.
