Jill grew up in Mayville, WI where she graduated from St. John Lutheran School and Mayville High School. She graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 1991 with a BA in Elementary Educatation and a minor in music.

At CUW, she met her husband Nathan. He has served at several Lutheran congregations in northern Wisconsin and southern Illinois, and is currently senior pastor at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, WI. Nathan and Jill have 3 children - Joseph, Bethany and Andrew.

Prior to moving to the Sheboygan area in 2009, Jill taught at various Lutheran schools in Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin, mostly in grades 5-8. When not teaching or playing the role of mom, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, music, attending sporting events and cheering on the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and the St. Louis Cardinals (as long as they aren't playing the Brewers.)
