Pastor Mech graduated from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1985 and from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri with a Master of Divinity Degree in 1989.  He was ordained in September of 1989 and served Bethel Lutheran Church, DuQuoin, Illinois until April of 1998 when he was called as the Associate Pastor of Trinity.  In November of 1999 he was called to his present position of Senior Pastor of Trinity.  Pastor Mech is married to Darlene, a Clinical Psychologist at Nettwork Family Counseling, and has two children Joshua and Emily.
