| Biography of Mrs. Christel Miske |
Christel
was born and raised in West Germany. After high school
graduation, she attended a four-year commerce-business school in
Berlin and graduated with a degree in business. Following
graduation, she worked for German Federal Government in the
telecommunications branch (foreign accounts for Allied Forces).
Daily opportunities for communications in English were manifold.
Before emigrating, she was secretary for the administrator of
the foreign accounts division of the telecommunication office.
She emigrated to the United States in 1969 from West Berlin,
Germany. She lives with her husband Bob and son Rolf in
Sheboygan. She began the foreign language instruction at Trinity
in January of 1986 as a pilot program that was changed into a
regular curriculum subject the following school year. She
regularly attends foreign language seminars, conferences, and
workshops geared toward the teaching of the German language in
grades K-8. She taught summer classes at the University of
Wisconsin-Sheboygan Center. She also did substitute teaching at
Lutheran and Christian High Schools. Christel is currently the
Student Council advisor.
