Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Many great and exciting things are taking place at Trinity Lutheran School.  Right now we are discussing the plans on the committee and board level for acquisition of additional property as well as expansion of our existing school programs.  We have a wonderful gem right now in our school, so in an attempt to make it better and attract additional students and new families, development of facilities and programs need to occur.

Items being worked on right now for facility expansion are coming out of the Long Range Planning Committee.  Over the course of the last few years, the need to grow in regard to space was evident.  Plans to resolve this matter began and now are coming to fruition.  A committee called the Facility Expansion Committee (FEC) grew out of the Long Range Planning Committee to design an arrangement as to how we as Trinity Lutheran Church can increase in size.  That is what is taking place right now.  FEC is meeting weekly to determine needs and to find solutions that can be presented to our Church Council and ultimately to the Voters' Assembly for final approval.  Before this request for approval takes place, a gathering to share information with the congregation will be held on Sunday, November 14^th after the late church service in the gym.  A light lunch will be provided for all those in attendance.  All members of our families are encouraged to come.  The presentation should last about 45 minutes with the possibility of viewing the plans for expansion after the presentation is over.  We hope you are able to attend on the 14^th to hear the exciting things being planned for our school.

The other expansion that will be taking place is in the area of our preschool and after school care program.  With the approval of the Board of Christian Day School (BCDS), next year we will begin a three-year-old preschool along with our current 4K and 5K programs.  As the year proceeds and exact plans are made, more specific information will be disseminated to explain exactly what will be taking place.  Along with the development of more ages in our preschool, longer hours will be available for our after school care program, with the possibility and probability of opening it up to the general public; a need that is certainly present in our community here at Trinity and in the community at large.
