Greetings to you in the name of our Easter Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. April is a wonderful month with many exciting things taking place. We have the opportunity to complete our achievement testing to assess how we are doing as teachers, as a school and how our students are fairing with respect to their peers across the country. We get a few days off at the end of our Spring Break to get refreshed and ready for the fourth quarter of the school year. We complete our Scholastic Olympics season with a few meets and the season-ending tournament at LHS. The eighth graders have the privilege to participate in their Profession of Faith in preparation for Confirmation. These things and a whole lot more take place this month, and the students are geared up and ready for the many events that occur.
Last month we had the great opportunity to participate in many different activities and events celebrating National Lutheran Schools Week. We heard about the blessing that Lutheran Schools are in sermons, devotions, prayers, classroom activities, assemblies and a pep rally. Lutheran Schools are truly a Great Place to Grow. I would like to personally thank all of the teachers and workers at the school, who day in and day out put in many long hours of dedicated service with little recognition and praise. They are servants of the Lord doing His business with your children. I would also like to thank the families, especially the parents and children of Trinity, who see the value in attending and supporting a Lutheran School. I am very thankful to all of you for your dedication and commitment to our program.
With things being prepared and planned for the remainder of this year and preparing for next year, I would like to update you on a few items: · Call to Miss Erickson - I would like to inform you that Miss Katherine Erickson who was Called to be a teacher at Trinity next year has accepted and will be joining our Trinity family next August. Praise God! · SCRIP - right now there is a plan that hopefully will be in place soon to begin applying credit from SCRIP usage for family fees. Watch for more information regarding this, and please continue to support Trinity Lutheran School by participating in the SCRIP program. · Mentor Givers - with the increase in fees for our school families next year and with the incorporation of a 3K program next year, with fees higher than we anticipated charging, we are in need of your help. If you are in a situation where you are able to financially help families who are less fortunate than us attend a Lutheran School, please let me know. I would love to talk with you about this opportunity where your gift can be given to families so they can enjoy the blessings of a Lutheran School education at Trinity.
Please continue to keep Trinity Lutheran School in your prayers as we equip and train children with Christ as our focus. If your children are not already enjoying the benefits of a Christian education and you would like them to take part in our school program, Applications for Admissions were sent to you. Please give me a call (458-8248) and I would love to set up a time to meet to enroll your children. My hope and prayer is that you are moved to do just that.
God's richest blessings to all of you as we move forward reaching out to more and more people with the Gospel message.
Yours in Christ,
Rick Schneider Principal
