DoorDash delivers food. The Holy Spirit delivers Jesus. In John 16, Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit will “take what is Mine and declare it to you.” That’s the Spirit’s “DoorDash.” Just as an app connects you to a meal, the Holy Spirit connects you to Christ—delivering His forgiveness, His presence, and His gifts through the Word and Sacraments. When we gather to hear God’s Word and receive His Supper, we’re not just learning—we’re feasting.

n a world filled with countless voices clamoring for our attention, one voice stands apart—clear, faithful, and comforting. Jesus promises, “My sheep hear my voice.” Unlike the fleeting calls that leave us lost and alone, His voice remains steadfast and unwavering. Death could not silence Him, and His ascension did not distance Him. Today, He speaks through His Word, proclaimed by His apostles and pastors, ensuring His sheep are never without His guidance.

Have you ever had a moment when God's promises became unmistakably clear? In John 21:1-14, the disciples experience this very clarity. Initially, they don't recognize the figure on the shore—until He speaks and His promise is fulfilled. They've witnessed this before: a night of fruitless fishing, then a simple command from Jesus, and suddenly their nets overflow. "It is the Lord!" proclaims John, recognizing Jesus by His word that accomplishes exactly what He promises.

“Peace be with you.” With these words, the risen Christ steps once again into locked rooms and fearful hearts—not with judgment, but with mercy. Just as He stood among the disciples, He now stands among us through His Word, through Baptism, and in His Body and Blood. He brings not condemnation but the keys to unlock fear, guilt, and even death itself.

They came expecting to anoint a dead body. Instead, they found an empty tomb, folded grave clothes, and two angels declaring, “He is not here, but has risen.” In Luke 24:1–12, the women who had followed Jesus were the first to hear the resurrection news—and it was not what they expected.

Before the sun rose, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb—and nothing would ever be the same again. In John 20:1–18, she finds the stone rolled away, the grave clothes folded, and a gardener who speaks her name with divine familiarity. It was Jesus—alive. Risen. Just as He promised.
