Each year, the School of Education at Concordia University, Wisconsin, recognizes two outstanding Lutheran educators across the state. This year, Concordia announced that Mrs. Kathy Gruben, our 4K teacher at Trinity, has been named the Master Elementary School Teacher of 2020!
Many of you know and love Mrs. Gruben. She has been serving in Lutheran School ministry for 21 years, and along with teaching 4K, she is also our Sunday School Coordinator and Student Council Chair. Mrs. Gruben is passionate about music, and is best known for teaching students about the love of Jesus through song. She leads our pre-school students in music and devotions weekly, and students go home proudly singing hymns and teaching parents the sign language. Mrs. Gruben sets her expectations high for her young learners, and they thrive under her structured, focused instruction. She does all of this with a servant's heart, great humility and goes above and beyond the Call. She is very deserving of this award!
In a typical year, Mrs. Gruben would be recognized at the Commencement ceremony on campus at CUW; this year, the ceremony is virtual, so we are joining in with a virtual celebration of Mrs. Gruben! We would love for you to share your favorite memories and congratulations to Mrs. Gruben on our Facebook page!
